I started this blog while still working on my dissertation for my PhD in literature, in the hopes that it would provide me with an outlet for my creative writing, and give me a place to talk about the unexpected awesomeness of my life…

  • https://thebrutallyhonestmom.com/2016/10/20/you-too/ You, Too | Honest to a Fault - This is late. And for that I’m sorry, little girl. It doesn’t mean I adore you any less.   You are small. You are strong. Stronger than anyone expects you to be. Your eyes are a mystery. Brown from a distance, they transform when you look, unabashed, at me. Now green. Now hazel. Now a…
  • https://thebrutallyhonestmom.com/2015/02/25/you/ You | Honest to a Fault - You are a product of science and love, of desperate hope, and about three-hundred dollars. Your hair is the color of newly-harvested wheat. Your eyes the color of my favorite old blue jeans. You have a single dimple on your left cheek, like an extra stitch left in by a careless tailor. Your first freckle…
  • https://thebrutallyhonestmom.com/2016/08/13/dear-alice/ Dear Alice | Honest to a Fault - Recently, a dear friend of ours, Alice, passed away. Though, really, Alice left us seven years ago, after being hit by a truck while riding her bicycle. She slipped into a non-responsive coma, and had been progressing deeper and deeper into vegetation before her body finally gave up and released her spirit on July 28,…
  • https://thebrutallyhonestmom.com/2016/07/12/period/ Period. | Honest to a Fault - We all could use some levity this week. And I'm on my period! So, let's talk about all the little ways that time of the month totally fucks you up. • https://thebrutallyhonestmom.com/2016/06/15/breathing-easier/ Breathing Easier | Honest to a Fault - Well, dear friends, I did it. Yesterday, I saw a Nurse Practitioner to discuss my recent GI troubles. Because you all scared me enough to finally do it. I explained everything to her. The changes in stools, the bloating, the cramping, the fears that I had about long term damage (I have just enough knowledge…
  • https://thebrutallyhonestmom.com/2016/06/09/from-now-to-august/ From Now to August | Honest to a Fault - I need help, dear friends. You see, for the past two months I’ve been. Well. Huh. I guess I’ve been sick. But it’s been the strangest kind of illness I’ve ever experienced in my life. You see, I’ve been experiencing what I’d call “mild diarrhea” every day for almost two months. Not “Sprinting to the…

It was hard. It was wonderful. Here's what I learned from that experience. (Pictures at the end!) Runners are walkers too. I had it in my head that “runners” run. Period. That anybody who could claim the distinguished title of “runner” didn’t waste their time with…

  • Naegea - Useful

It didn't work for the glue I bought it to remove but it did come in handy remove glue after I pulled off labels from some favorite items.

  • Michael33326 - Excellent product

Excellent product. This stuff works. You need to use the entire system (shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment). After several weeks your hair will look fuller. I don't notice hair loss like I did in the past. The product can be pricey but you don't need to use a lot of it each time you wash your hair and it does go a long way. Well worth the money if you hair is thinning and falling out. Great stuff!
